創造と教える・伝えるということ

―作品を創り上げる時に大切にしている事は何ですか？

メッセージ性のある映像や彫刻作品を制作するとき、最も重要なことは、目標に対して明確で説得力のあるビジョンを持つことです。作品が意図したメッセージを的確に伝え、観た人を引き付けるために、慎重なプランニング、調査、そしてコンセプトが必要です。
When creating critical film and sculptural work, one of the most important things is to have a clear and compelling vision for what you want to achieve. This involves careful planning, research, and conceptualization to ensure that your work effectively communicates your intended message and engages your audience.

さらに重要なのは、技術的な専門知識と細部へのこだわりです。映像でも彫刻でも、伝えたいものを伝えるには、必要な手段、道具、技術に精通していなければいけません。映像のカメラアングルや照明、彫刻の材質やその質感まで、あらゆるものに関してです。
Another crucial aspect is technical expertise and attention to detail. Whether you’re working with film or sculpture, you need to have a strong understanding of the medium and the tools and techniques required to create the desired effect. This includes everything from camera angles and lighting in film to materials and textures in sculpture.

コラボレーションも重要です。特に映像では、ビジョンを実現するために専門家チームが必要になる場合があります。自らの考えを明確に伝え、他の人とより密に協力して、全員が足並みをそろえて同じ目標に向かって取り組んでいく必要があります。
Collaboration is also important, particularly in film, where a team of professionals may be required to bring your vision to life. You need to be able to communicate your ideas clearly and work effectively with others to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards the same goal.

最後に、批判的な意見はとても重要です。作品を創造するときは、常に状況を振り返り、メッセージが意図した通りに伝わるよう、必要に応じて調整する必要があります。
そのため、他の人に意見を求めたり、さまざまなアプローチを試したり、途中で変更を加えていく事もあります。
つまり、最も重要な事は、自分のビジョンに忠実であり続け、目標に向けて取り組む中で生まれるクリエイティブの可能性を受け入れていく事です。
Finally, critical reflection is key. As you create your work, you need to continually reflect on your progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that your message is coming through as intended. This may involve seeking feedback from others, testing different approaches, and being willing to make changes along the way. Ultimately, the most important thing is to stay true to your vision and be open to the creative possibilities that arise as you work towards your goal.

教え、伝えるには、アイデアを深く理解し、質の高い作品を創造するために必要な技術的スキル、理論や歴史、映画や彫刻で使用されるさまざまな技術と道具の知識を身に着けることも重要です。
When teaching and communicating, one of the most important things is to have a deep understanding of the subject matter and the technical skills required to create high-quality work. This includes knowledge of theory, history, and a range of techniques and tools used in film and sculpture.

特に専門的な知識レベルが異なる学生や仲間と仕事をする場合は、優れたコミュニケーション能力も重要です。講師とコミュニケーターは、複雑なコンセプトを簡単な言葉で説明し、明確で簡潔なフィードバックを行い、試しながら創る事ができる環境を用意しなければいけません。
Effective communication skills are also key, particularly when working with students or colleagues with varying levels of expertise. Teachers and communicators need to be able to explain complex concepts in simple terms, provide clear and concise feedback, and create a supportive learning environment that encourages experimentation and creativity.

もう 1 つの重要な点は、論理的な思考回路と分析です。講師とコミュニケーターは、生徒が映像や彫刻で使用するテーマ、メッセージ、技法について深く考え、作品に対する独自の客観的視点を持つようによう促していく事。そのために、細かい点まで問いかけをし、グループディスカッションをサポートし、研究や分析の機会を提供します。
Another important aspect is an appreciation for critical thinking and analysis. Teachers and communicators should encourage students to think deeply about the themes, messages, and techniques used in films and sculptures, and to develop their own critical perspectives on the work. This involves asking probing questions, facilitating group discussions, and providing opportunities for independent research and analysis.
